Virtual Reality has been shown to cause higher motivation and greater involvement in the learning process Particularly, its ‘fun factor’ can motivate people to participate, even on controversial topics such as preventing ethnic profiling. Some studies also show that Virtual Reality can cause a distraction from anxiety and pain, and is therefore increasingly used in training and therapy. We believe that Virtual Reality therefore could also work well for police officers experiencing frustration, injustice, and anxiety over claims of ethnic profiling.
